What the Estimate Tool Does

Our free estimate tool gives you a realistic Irish-market price guide for common electrical jobs — full and partial rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EV chargers, additional circuits, outdoor sockets and lighting, and fault-finding visits. Numbers reflect current 2026 material and labour costs in Leinster, not a generic UK calculator.

You answer 5–6 quick questions about the property and the work, and you see an itemised ballpark range broken down by labour, materials, and testing. There's no sign-up wall to see the number — if you want to turn it into a fixed-price quote, you can send us the details with one click and we'll come back to you with a guaranteed price within 48 hours.

Who It's For

  • Homeowners planning a rewire, EV charger install, or consumer unit upgrade who want a sanity-check before booking surveys
  • Builders and developers pricing the electrical component of a new build or renovation
  • Landlords budgeting periodic electrical certification or socket upgrades for rentals
  • Anyone who's had one wildly different quote and wants a neutral baseline to compare against

How It Works

  1. 1. Pick the work

Choose from common job types — rewire, consumer unit upgrade, EV charger, extra sockets, outdoor lighting, fault finding, and more. Each option opens a few quick follow-up questions specific to that job.

  2. 2. Answer 5–6 questions

Property type and size, age of existing wiring, whether you need a consumer unit upgrade, finish standard, county. Takes about 60 seconds. No personal details required to see the price.

  3. 3. See the price range

You get a low–high range with labour, materials, testing and Safe Electric certification broken out. Send it to us with one click to turn it into a fixed-price quote within 48 hours, with no obligation.

Why Use the Estimate Tool

  • No sign-up to see the number — privacy-respecting
  • Irish-market pricing (Leinster, 2026) — not a generic UK calculator
  • Itemised: labour vs materials vs Safe Electric certification
  • Optional 48-hour fixed-price quote with no obligation
  • Built by a Safe Electric A6700 contractor, not a lead-aggregator

Common Questions

How accurate is the estimate?

It's a ballpark range based on typical Leinster jobs in 2026. The true price depends on access, existing wiring condition, finish standard and how many surprise jobs come out of the survey. The tool gets you within ~15% of a real quote in most cases — close enough to budget, not close enough to sign a contract.

Do I have to give you my details to see the price?

No. The number appears before any contact form. The only reason to share your details is if you want us to turn the estimate into a fixed-price quote.

Why is your estimate higher / lower than someone else's?

Watch for what's included: a quote that's missing Safe Electric certification, RCBO protection, testing, or back-box upgrades will look cheaper but cost you more later. We price for compliance with IS 10101 — the national wiring standard.

How fast can I get a real fixed-price quote?

48 hours, every time. Send us the estimate and we'll either confirm the figure as a fixed price or come back with a survey appointment if the job needs eyes on it.

Do you cover my county?

We work across Leinster as standard — Wexford, Dublin, Wicklow, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Longford — plus parts of Munster for larger projects.
