What size projects do you take on?

From a single socket to a 90-unit development, and most things in between. A 3-bed semi rewire is a job for two of us over 5 to 8 days; a full development we crew up for and run as a phased programme. We have a 10-person team that scales to match the work, so we're comfortable across the full range without dropping the standard.

Are you Safe Electric registered?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Safe Electric is the body that licenses electrical contractors in Ireland, and the law says only a registered contractor can sign off on the work. We're registered and carry full public liability insurance. Every job is wired, tested and certified to IS 10101 (the current national wiring standard that replaced the old ET 101 rules) and you get the cert to prove it.

How do you fit into our build programme?

We work to your schedule, not ours. First fix goes in once the frame is up and before the plasterers; second fix follows after the walls are closed and the kitchen and units are set; then we test and certify before handover. We'll map those stages around your programme so the electrics never sit on the critical path. We delivered a 90-unit Dublin development that way (phased, unit by unit) so we know how a live site runs.

Do you provide Safe Electric certs for every unit?

Every unit, every time. You get a Safe Electric Completion Cert for each dwelling, the test results behind it, and as-built documentation for the file. That cert is what the ESB looks for before they energise a new connection, and it's what a buyer's solicitor asks for on closing. So it's not paperwork we leave till last.

Do you cover areas outside Wexford?

We're based in Wexford but work across Leinster and beyond. We've delivered projects in Dublin, Waterford and Kilkenny, so the south-east is well inside our patch. For a development we'll put a crew on site for the duration rather than travel daily, which is why distance isn't a barrier for the right job. Tell us where you are and we'll confirm straight away.

How quickly can you quote?

Send us the plans or the spec and we'll come back with a fixed-price quote within 48 hours. For a single domestic job that's usually all we need; for a larger development we'll walk the site first so the number accounts for access, the DB layout and any existing wiring we have to work around. Either way the price is fixed before any work starts: no day rates that creep, no surprises at the end.

Do you install EV chargers?

Yes. We supply and install domestic and commercial EV charging points: including the groundwork, any consumer unit upgrade the charger needs, and a dedicated RCBO-protected circuit to IS 10101. The SEAI home charger grant is worth up to €300 off the install, and we handle that paperwork for you. A standard home install is typically a half-day to a day once the route's agreed.

Do you take on small domestic jobs, not just developments?

Absolutely, from a single socket to a full rewire. As a rough guide, a 3-bed semi rewire runs around €7,000 to €12,000 in 2026, including a new consumer unit and the Safe Electric cert, and takes 5 to 8 working days for a team of two. That is a wide band on purpose: the biggest single variable is making good: whether chasing, replastering and decorating are inside the price or left to you. You can usually stay in the house for a partial rewire, but not a full one. You'll get the same certified standard we bring to the developments, and a fixed quote before anyone lifts a floorboard.
